Fine art photographer relaunches website
[Mar 24, 2008]
Frank Lopez is pleased to announce the relaunch of his pinhole/toy camera website: www.franklopez.com. Frank specializes in the intimate environment, concentrating on areas of cultural or poetic significance. Two portfolios have received extensive interest: his recent trip to Vietnam and a long term project photographing Fair Park in Dallas.
Fair Park is the largest collection of pre-war art deco buildings in the nation and was created for the Centennial celebration of Texas statehood. Fair Park remains the home of the State Fair of Texas.
The Vietnam portfolio is split into two distinctive portfolios, one pinhole and one toy camera. The pinhole portfolio further illustrates Frank’s passion for lensless photography, exhibiting imagery from across the country. A written journal will be soon accompany the portfolio as an inside view into the creative process.
Frank is currently a full time instructor at Greenhill School in Addison, Texas, teaching upper school photography (19th to 21st Century technologies). He is also an adjunct professor at Texas A&M-Commerce where he teaches Historical Printmaking. Frank will also conduct a 5 week photographic workshop in China for Greenhill this coming summer. A freelancer for the better part of the last 18 years, Frank finally has come back to his passion for teaching and creating/sharing his personal work.
Other portfolios include: Prague, Amsterdam, Oregon Coast, the Gates, the American West, the North Coast and others. The portfolios are split into two portions of the website: www.franklopez.com & www.franklopez.com/gallery.
Thank you in advance for any and all criticism. |
