From pinholes to pixels, this year’s photography exhibit will feature not only the annual competition winners, but will also present a highlighted history of photographic processes, including camera technology and social stimuli that guided the uses of photography and its influence on science and fine art.
This year’s juried competition will result in a dynamic exhibit – potentially reaching 1.4 million viewers that attend the Fair annually – that displays both the winners and highlights key moments in photographic history, from pinholes to pixels! The distinguished jury panel comprises jurors from the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American Art, the UCR/California Museum of Photography, and Nash Editions.
Enter in any of five categories; professional and amateur entries will be judged separately. Entries are accepted online, so there are NO GEOGRAPHICAL LIMITATIONS. Shipping credit is available. Awards include “featured artist” exhibition status, cash, catalogues, inclusion in an online exhibit, and admission to the Fair.
