Artists have been increasingly seduced by the beauty of the images created by lensless cameras.
This is evident by nearly 3000 images from 63 countries being uploaded onto the 2007 Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day website and, images being recognised for selection for art prizes such as the Leica/CCP Documentary Photography Award and the William and Winifred Bowness Photography Prize.
This exhibition includes images that demonstrate the qualities and creativity of pinhole photography, for example the stillness of Gayle Laird’s San Francisco landscapes.
International artists include Matthias Hagemann (Spain), Dr Klaus Knoll and Cella (USA), and Gayle Laird (USA). Australian artists include Fox Black, Wendy Currie, Len Currie, Benjamin Healley, Veronica Hodgkinson, Merle Parker, Tony Peri, Michael Prior, and David Tatnall.
